Supported Files

Will Office 2007 OOXML (eg *.docx, *.ppt, *.xls, etc) be supported in the near future?

What size limitation are we looking at?

Filesize limit is 10Meg. Why don't you guys show that clearly on the upload page? duh!

Can i view ppt or other files format using uploading the url of the file?

How about WordPerfect format? Our customers have hundreds of thousands of these.

@Guest: Why do you want to mail out as attachments? You can very well use your preferred email client to send out the doc as attachment. Zoho Viewer is more suited for online viewing of files, which is useful when you don't have any software installed on your machine for viewing the file. So, we have a Share link using which you email the document link to your friends.

PDFs with images in them dont work, please work on that.

I have PDFs printed as images.


When I upload these, they either fail to upload or when uploaded the images are not visible. I get a blank page.

OK I got the files to be visible, i.e. work.


The PDFs have to saved as compatible with Acrobat 5 for it to be visible in Zoho Viewer, PDF in acrobat 6 and 7 dont work for images.

I want to view YouTube format as low bandwidth (under 50Kbit/sec) MPEG-4 (with linux mplayer). Probably impossible. Sindi

PDFs are viewed at 1280 resolution. Please add options for 1024 and 800 to avoid the need to scroll (or to shrink the page which makes it display badly).

Convert PPT(X) also to HTML. I can't view any of the formats offered.

Viewing PDF as HTML would let people with slow connections view without images.

(But I can use http://access.adobe.com/access to view as HTML without images, or text).

@sindikeesan: We will look at the PDF option. Meanwhile we are already working on a new PDF viewer.

Regarding the PPTX format, can you share the file with support@zohoviewer.com? Which OS and browser are you using? Do you have the flash plugin installed?

I suggest Zoho Viewer to support the following file formats: Visio

What about a MOBILE-friendly version of the Zoho Viewer? ;)

"MOBILE-friendly" means it would be optimized for viewing on mobile devices (SmartPhones, PDAs, iPhone/iPod Touch...), trough a mobile web browser (Opera Mini, for example...)

Mobile devices have a very small screen, so it is impossible to read comfortably a site designed for computers (bigger screen)

Whats about swf files ?
The browser could load it without need of the viewer ... why don't upload ?

It would be awesome if Zoho Viewer could view XPS files. It would make work a lot easier. They are widely replacing PDFs.

Microsoft OneNote files - would be great to view them
